The Buick LaCrosse has been a mainstay of the luxury automaker since its introduction back in 2004. And now, ten years after its first release, the LaCrosse, updated to meet the demands of today’s luxury car customer, remains of the most stable, stylish, and practical full-size sedans on the luxury car market.
The 2014 model year sees the LaCrosse go through some major changes. Buick tweaked the design, both inside and outside, brushing up on the LaCrosse’s profession to give it a modern, progressive sheen. However, the biggest changes came in the form of technology and safety features; new systems like Side Blind Zone Alert, Lane Change Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are all now available on the LaCrosse.
In addition to all these new safety features, the LaCrosse also comes with exciting new engine options. The baseline 2.4L engine is actually technically a hybrid, as it runs on eAssist technology, or you can upgrade to the 3.6L V6 engine. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
It’s no surprise that Buick would be proud of this magnificently revamped vehicle. “We evolved the interior and exterior design, increased luxury amenities and materials, and enhanced the safety and personal technologies to give customers more reasons than ever to rediscover Buick,” said Tony DiSalle, U.S. vice president of Buick Marketing.
