2015 Yukon gets 10% Better Gas Mileage

2015 GMC Yukon

Official EPA estimated gas mileage for the new GM SUV’s have been released, and the results are impressive. The 2015 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL earn a nearly 10% increase in highway miles per gallon and 7% city miles per gallon with the standard 5.3L V8 engine. That’s 16 city / 23 highway mpg.

This EcoTec3 engine is able to achieve improved fuel economy through new technologies such as direct injection, variable valve timing, and Active Fuel Management that allows it to deactivate four of the cylinders based on load and power demand.

The Yukon is also improved aerodynamically, offering a quiet ride and increased fuel economy.

In addition to saving gas, the Yukon offers a lot of new standard safety technologies. Standard features include but are not limited to:

  • Forward Collision Alert
  • Side Blind Zone Alert
  • Lane Change Alert
  • Front and Rear Park Assist
  • Lane Departure Warning
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert

GMC’s brand-new Yukon truly represents a new age of SUVs, with increased fuel economy and advanced safety technologies that not only protect occupants in a crash, but actively prevent them from happening in the first place.

We have the all-new Yukon in stock at Watters Autoland, and you’re welcome to come in to test drive one of the most advanced SUVs on the market.
