Later this summer, if you purchase a 2015 Buick LaCrosse, Regal, Verano, or Encore, it will come standard with OnStar 4G LTE. This will essentially turn your car into a Wi-Fi hotspot where passengers can stay connected on the go.
The technology will allow up to seven devices to connect at once, including smartphones, tablets, and laptops. Passengers will be able to browse the internet, send emails, play games, and even download movies.
“Today’s Buick lineup is full of technologies that help make our owners safer and more secure than they would be without them,” said Tony DiSalle, vice president of Buick Marketing, in a statement. “With the introduction of high-speed OnStar 4G LTE, Buick owners will be better connected as well.”
The 4G technology will come standard with data packages available for additional costs. For the 2016 model year, all Buick models will have the OnStar 4G LTE hardware as standard.
